Greetings and Happy Saturday!
JCI to post a couple of birthday cards that I finished in celebration of DH's 50th birthday. One card is from me, and the other is from the kids. The card from the kids was made using the Mojo Monday sketch #485. The great thing is that I was able to find a birthday verse that matched the theme of the card.
The other card that I gave DH was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest. I liked the idea of counting down the age change... and I love using vinyl on paper.
That's it, for now. TFL.
Til next time.

New Year, new opportunities!
Happy New Year!
It's been a while since my last post; and I've been busy fighting illnesses (whole house and work), handling life issues, and meeting project deadlines!
The scripture says, "A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men." Prov 18:16. In 2016, my Bishop commissioned me to make birthday cards for members' birthdays! Well, that seems to have worked out well - so well, that I've been asked to do cards for 2017!!! I shared this with a co-worker, who shared the information with her ministry; and now I've been commissioned to make cards for them!!! I am so grateful for the opportunities to create handmade cards to be a blessing to others.
In addition to the cards, I am working on a special gift (belated and all) for my mom; and I can't wait to present it to her. Hint: It's one of Kathy King's "Everyday Life" projects (http://paperphenomenon.com). Stay tuned! Here's a sneak peek...
Here are a few of the cards that I've completed, thus far... (design inspirations/sketches via Pinterest).
And here are the special request candy jars that I did for a good friend...
Thank you for stopping by! Feel free to leave a little blog love, too, please!

Quick Birthday Card w/Vinyl
Greetings Fellow Crafty Peeps and Followers,
The DMV is getting a good dose of cold weather this week, which is perfect weather for staying indoors and having lots of crafty fun!!! My craftin' sista, Cassie, and I have been encouraging each other to do more projects - finding something that really excites us, and focusing our talents on completing those projects. In response, I've recently purchased some great "Black Friday" specials from Paper Phenomenon (Kathy King). Please be sure to visit the shop at http://shop.paperphenomenon.com and take advantage of the 50% off sale now thru Dec 10th!
I've been wanting to do more challenges to help keep the creative juices/mojo flowing; and the Outlawz Challenges are always fun to follow. The sketch challenge was my focus for this week, and it came in time for me to honor a birthday card request from my son for one of his favorite teachers (fav colors are pink & yellow). One exciting thing to note about this particular project is that I used vinyl to make the image - something I learned while attending my sista's Craftoberfest Retreat last month (make n take taught by DaShawnna)! I have a new-found love for vinyl... LOL!

Birthday Blessings
Happy Tuesday!
Just dropping off a few cards that I finally completed last weekend. Most of the patterned paper for these cards comes from DCWV's Linen Closet stack. I was asked by my church administrator to make sets of cards for various occasions - and the first set requested was for birthdays! I am so grateful for the opportunity to use my gift for ministry, and for the support and trust from my Bishop!
In addition to these cards, I was blessed by my mother's request to make her birthday celebration invitations! As some may remember from older posts, my mom wasn't really into the handmade stuff initially; but as time has passed, she has taken more of an interest in my craft! That means so much to me. Having my family's support/encouragement makes what I do so much easier and worthwhile.
Well, enough of that mushy stuff... LOL!!! My mom is embarking upon a milestone birthday this year; so I wanted her to be able to have a memorable celebration! Here are the invitations I made for her (simple, but nice - I think)!
Thanks for stopping by; and if you are so inclined, please feel free to leave a little blog love. :-)

Rolling into Fall!
Greetings Family, Friends and Fellow Crafters!
I apologize for my absence, but life has been happening, and it keeps trying to leave me in the dust!! LOL!! Nonetheless, the crafter in me is yearning to get out and celebrate the coming of Fall! I don't know where to begin - craft space reorganization, projects that have been on hold, or new projects on the horizon! I was able to make birthday cards for a set of twins who turned 8 earlier this month, and love to skate! I was inspired by the birthday party Evite - and here's the end result. I have to give a hearty thank you to my craftin' sista, Cassie, for her input.

Catching up is so hard to do!
Greetings family and friends!
It's been a while since my last visit, but some crafting has been going on, in my absence. I don't want to bore you with the hectic details of my life, but I will say this...(in my Forest Gump voice)..."life is like a box of chocolates"...sweet, bitter and sometimes nutty!! LOL.
Nonetheless, here are some of the things I've been working on...

Graduation card for my god daughter, who's heading off to college! |

T-shirts for Bridal Party - gifts from Maid of Honor |

Working on my "blinging" skills. I used a Converse key ring as a tester - realizing that the smaller surface requires smaller stones. I have some 2mm stones on order! LOL. |
Thanks for stopping by!

Spring is in the Air
Greetings Family, Friends & Followers,
I apologize for my absence and lack of posting here, but life is constantly happening. Nonetheless, I thank you for your patience and prayers. I completed a DT project for 613 Avenue Create; and I have been asked to make a set of 24 cards for the ministry, so I am working on those. I recently made some favors for our Women's Fellowship - and the ladies loved them! I thank my crafting sista, Cassie, for the project idea!
