Birthday Projects

It's me again - I know ... twice in the same week?!!  LOL.  I wanted to share a couple of projects that I completed, in celebration of DM's birthday this year.

Last year, my mom had mentioned that she needed a way to store or keep the different hand-made cards/gifts I've given her over the years.  That statement stuck with me for a while.  My first instinct was to get her some type of plastic storage/organizer.  But, as I was preparing for Cassie's Craft-cation in October, the idea hit me... alter a box!!  Well, that idea excited AND scared me, at the same time.  LOL.  This project was going to take me completely out of my comfort zone of paper, and force me into the world of wood!  Needless to say, I am pleased with how my first altered box project turned out.  I do need to learn how to tape off some of the fixtures to avoid getting paint on EVERYTHING!  Lesson learned...

Below is a small collage of the cards that I made for DM - one from the grands, and one from me.  What you don't see in this picture, is the funny...slightly smutty card that I made for her, that I placed inside the box!

Challenge #96 - Anything Goes

Greetings Family, Friends, and Fellow Crafters,

It's Team B's week to host the challenge at 613 Avenue Create; and the theme is "Anything Goes", w/optional Holiday Thank you.  I had the pleasure of using an image from Aurora Wings for my DT project.  The image for my project is called "Holiday Poinsettia Sprite w/Present".  There are a few days left for you to join the challenge; so if you accept this challenge, be sure to post your project over at 613 Avenue Create by Saturday, Nov. 8.

Craft-cation Getaway in October!

Greetings Everyone,

Just wanted to pop in to make sure all of my crafty followers know that there is a fantastic Craft-cation Getaway on the horizon!! 
Cassie's Craft Café Presents: 

Craft-tober Fest 2014.  Join us for a 2, 3 or 4 day Craft Vacation!!

Package A:  $75 Craft from 3pm Thursday - 3pm Sunday
Package B:  $65 Craft from 9am Friday - 3pm Sunday
Package C:  $50 Craft from 8am Saturday - 3pm Sunday

- 24 hr access to our craft space w/your own 6 ft table
- Tshirt
- Goody bag and chances to win door prizes

- Participation in our “Trade Table” where you can exchange old or unwanted supplies with others and a Garage Sale Table where you are welcome to sale unwanted items.
