This post is coming to you from a person who is truly feeling grateful right now! I had a life-changing experience last week that has made me realize the importance of being thankful for the little things. Most of us on this journey called life sometimes take things for granted - breath in our bodies, activity in our limbs, soundness of mind, family, etc. I'm grateful to be alive today, and to have a second chance at life!
Now, for the theme of this post... In the past, I've mentioned, in passing, that my mom did not seem to have a fond appreciation for my crafting/hand-made items. Well, she actually asked me to make a sympathy card for her to give to one of her best friends, who's mother passed away. The "twist" was to NOT use the word "sympathy" on or in the card!!! This was a challenge; but I like the end result - and I hope you do, too.
The inside reads:
Those we love remain with us
For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade
Because a loved one's gone.
Those we love can never be
More than a thought apart,
For as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in the heart.
Thanks for visiting!
