Greetings Family, Friends and Faithful Followers,
The summer is almost here; and you know that right before summer hits, Graduation Season comes in like a flood!! LOL. Our family (and extended family), have a few graduations to celebrate; and I have been charged with making some graduation cards. Now remember, in previous posts, I've said that I'm looking to be challenged to craft more this year?!! I'm being challenged - and it's great! The first card I completed was for our niece who graduated from high school (school colors were green/gold). The image I used is from a wonder crafty sista-friend LaMeka, over at Pink Bow Ties - so please be sure to visit her site, browse, and purchase, if you see something you must have.
DP is from a DCWV Mega Stack; Flowers - Recollections (stash); Bling - Recollections (stash)
Dies - Spellbinders
Image was colored using Copic Markers:
E000, E00, E04, E21 (skin); E59, 57, 55 (hair); G12, 14, 17 (shirt & earring);
W09, 07, 05 (cap & gown); Y13 &15 (tassel)
This card was made for one of my bestest crafty sista - Cassie, who has been a true source of encouragement, inspiration and excellent sanity check (when I'm craft shopping)! LOL. She celebrated a milestone birthday over the weekend; and DH and I had the pleasure of being part of her (surprise) celebration. Well, given that she is indeed a crafter, there was no way I could get away with a store-bought card for this particular milestone birthday. So, I went through my supplies, and found her favorite colors (teal and brown, mostly)... and this card is the end-result! I also made her a custom crafter's basket (turquoise/teal, of course) filled with a Spellbinders die that she wanted; an embossing folder with a Paris theme (for her to scrap her trip to Paris this summer); Copic Marker E04; trail mix (one of her favorite snacks); and some sprite her crafting beverage of choice - LOL)! I had so much fun watching her take in all of the surprise party attendees, the decorations, and the personal touches of some TB photos... we're talking elementary school, ya'll!! DH and I had a blast.
I'm grateful - no blessed - to have such a wonderful, uplifting, fun-loving, and talented friend in my life! Tear, tear... smile... tear, tear... LOL.
Card LO - Mojo Monday #398
Thanks for stopping by.
